Leave the familiar behind and discover what it feels like to climb beyond a single rope length. Beneath the dramatic limestone skyline of the Italian Dolomites, this two-day course near Monte Piana is your introduction to multi-pitch climbing: moving up a longer route in stages, learning together and taking in a bigger view with every pitch.
You do not need a long climbing history. Come as a beginner or with a few rock-climbing sessions behind you. We will start with the foundations, build confidence step by step and choose the climbing to suit the group. With just five places and all climbing gear included, there is room to ask questions, practise and enjoy the experience.

From first holds to a bigger view
Day 1 · Build your foundations
Get comfortable with the equipment, movement on rock and the rhythm of climbing with a partner. The planned first day introduces equipment checks, rope handling, belaying and clear communication under instruction, with time to practise and ask questions. We will build the skills and confidence needed for the next step.
Day 2 · Your first multi-pitch experience
Put those foundations into practice on a suitable supervised multi-pitch climb. Discover how a longer route unfolds, how a team moves between pitches and why communication matters as the ground drops away. The aim is a rewarding first experience, with learning and steady progress at the centre of the day.
This is the planned progression. Exact routes and activities will be adapted to the group’s ability, weather, rock conditions and available daylight.

Bring clothing for an active day outdoors, warm layers, a waterproof jacket, sturdy footwear for the approach, a small backpack, food and water. We provide the climbing gear.

This course is designed for curious beginners and new rock climbers who want to take their first steps into longer routes. No previous multi-pitch experience is needed. Expect two active days outdoors, mountain approaches and time on exposed rock, with the pace and objectives matched to the group.
Late October can bring cold temperatures and changeable mountain conditions. Our climbing programme will stay flexible so that the chosen objectives reflect the conditions on the day.
